Relax at Lake Brienz

The water is crystal clear and the views are breathtaking. You can even go for a swim if you’re feeling brave! It was so much fun splashing around in the lake, we stayed for hours.
We found out that it has a thermal lake under it which creates all this steam coming up from its surface. It was really cool to see nature doing its thing right before our eyes without any intervention. I could feel the warm steam rising up from below my feet as I walked over the rocks on the shoreline. There were also many fish swimming in circles under me.
Although they were hard to spot with just my naked eye, once I saw them through my camera lens they seemed much bigger than they actually were! I had never seen so many different types of wildlife in one place before. Our guide told us there were frogs, ducks, otters and beavers living here too. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have stumbled across such an incredible site!
I would recommend visiting Lake Brienz if you want some time away from the hustle and bustle of life.
