The best way to find them is by going early in the morning when they’re starting to wake up. The Fisherman’s House offers some of the best seafood dishes this side of Rio de Janeiro. Try their salgados appetizer, which includes a variety of salty meats such as bacon-wrapped shrimp and lamb ribs, served with different sauces like curry mayonnaise or garlic sauce.
For your main course, choose from mouthwatering dishes like grilled octopus with mashed potatoes and caramelized onions, or fried calamari steak served with chimichurri sauce. For dessert, the chocolate tart is out of this world!

After you’ve had your fill of shopping, head to one of Paraty’s many beaches. Whether you want to relax on the sand or take a dip in the water, there’s a beach for everyone. Playa do Carvoeiro Beach has calm waters that are great for swimming, while Playa da Paz Beach has waves that are perfect for surfing. There’s even a little slice of paradise called Praia do Leste that is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Brazil. Of course, we couldn’t forget about the nightlife either. Praia de Barra de Santo Antonio- Many people say this beach is the prettiest spot in town because of its clear blue water and gentle waves. Once you walk onto the shore, it feels like an entirely different world. Try paddling through the shallow water before taking a refreshing swim in what might be one of the clearest oceans you’ll ever see.

The colonial center is also worth exploring—take a stroll through Pelourinho Square or wander through one of its many artisan shops.
