Go mountain biking

Ait Ben-Haddou is a scenic UNESCO World Heritage Site in Morocco that is perfect for mountain biking. There are plenty of trails to explore, and the views are incredible. You can even ride through the ancient city itself. If you’re looking for an adventure, mountain biking in Ait Ben-Haddou is definitely for you. The region offers many different routes, so whether you prefer flat terrain or uphill climbs there’s something for everyone. Be sure to bring your camera because there are gorgeous views all around! A few notable landmarks include Taourirt Kasbah and Ksar Es Siaghine – both of which offer excellent opportunities for photographers.
Amit Ben Haddou was founded as a pre-Saharan trading center with intermittent occupation dating back about 5,000 years.
Ride a Camel

One of the best ways to explore Ait Ben-Haddou is by camel! You can ride them around the city and get a feel for what life was like here centuries ago. Plus, it’s a fun way to get around and see the sights. Just be sure to take it slow and enjoy the ride. I’ll never forget my first time riding a camel when I came to Morocco for my study abroad program at Monterey Institute of International Studies.
I had never ridden one before, but this experience will always stick with me. We rode across the Sahara Desert on our camels until we reached Ait Ben-Haddou where we took in all its beauty as the sun set over the desert sand dunes behind us. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Afterward, we roasted meat from the day’s hunt under the moonlight and slept under blankets of stars that night.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience that you won’t soon forget, exploring Ait Ben-Haddou on a camel is the perfect choice!
Enjoy the view from above

There’s something about being high up that just makes you feel alive. Maybe it’s the feeling of being on top of the world, or maybe it’s the rush of adrenaline that comes with knowing you could fall at any moment. Whatever it is, I love it.
And there’s no better place to get your fix than Ait Ben-Haddou. Though the name might not ring a bell, chances are good that you’ve seen this village before – if not in person then in movies like Lawrence of Arabia and The Mummy Returns. From its perch atop a rocky hill surrounded by miles and miles of desert, this ancient village offers visitors an epic view down into the valley below.
But this isn’t all there is to see. As one of Morocco’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Ait Ben-Haddou has preserved its rich history while also showing how the area has evolved over time. It’s true, you can’t help but feel small as you stand in front of these towering structures, but remember that they were built with more care and attention than we give them today.
Take panoramic pictures

When you explore Ait Ben-Haddou, be sure to take some panoramic pictures. The views are breathtaking and will make for some great memories. Plus, it’s a great way to show off your trip to friends and family back home.
This site has more information on how to get great photos while traveling in Morocco. Tips on how to photograph this type of architecture can also be found here. Be sure to use a tripod or selfie stick with the self timer or cable release so that you don’t have to touch the camera while taking each picture. Consider bringing along a remote shutter release as well.
For example, if you’re using an iPhone, turn on live photo mode and then use the volume button as a remote shutter release or plug in an Apple lightning connector cable into an external shutter release like this one.
Explore different perspectives

When you travel, it’s important to not just see the sights, but to also experience the culture. This can be done by talking to locals, trying new foods, and learning about the history of the place you’re visiting. Ait Ben-Haddou is a perfect example of a place where there is so much to explore.
The ancient city is full of history and has a unique architecture that you won’t find anywhere else. There are many different viewpoints to view the village from, which makes for an amazing adventure. You’ll want to climb up on one of the towers for breathtaking views! And don’t forget to visit some of the mosques while you’re here – they have fantastic tile work and intricate designs that will make your jaw drop.
When I visited, I felt like I was transported back in time when things were simpler. It was magical, almost like something out of a fairy tale – everyone should go check it out!
Buy Moroccan souvenirs

When in Morocco, be sure to buy some souvenirs! Traditional Moroccan items make great gifts, and they can also be used to decorate your home. The souks (markets) in Marrakech and Fez are two of the best places to buy souvenirs. You might try haggling for a better price – that’s part of the fun! Just be sure to not overpay – remember, you’re on a budget!
If you want something that is more high-end, go to one of the artisan markets where sellers specialize in handcrafted items like pottery or jewelry. They may cost more than what’s at the souk, but these are usually higher quality products with more interesting designs and colors.
You can often find other curiosities there as well – such as a snuff bottle from India or pomanders from France – which makes them an even better deal. Keep in mind, however, that traditional Arabic art is expensive due to the large amount of work put into it.
Get lost in Medieval History

Ait Ben-Haddou is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Morocco. The site is a fortified city that was once used as a trading post along the caravan route. Today, it is a popular tourist destination for those who want to get lost in Medieval history. The city is well preserved and has been used as a filming location for many movies and TV shows.
Some films include Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Kingdom of Heaven. It’s possible to hike up the walls and explore the fortress from all angles. Along with taking hikes up these walls, visitors can also explore museums dedicated to art, architecture, pottery, costumes and more. Nearby you will find an authentic hammam (bathhouse) where people can enjoy the experience of being cleansed by scrubbing themselves down with soap and hot water.
I enjoyed visiting this amazing city because there were so many interesting things to see and do! I loved how it was decorated so beautifully, but also had such a rustic feel about it too.
