Stoos Bahn

The Stoos Bahn is a funicular railway that links the village of Stoos with Schwyz. The journey takes just under three minutes, and the views from the top are simply stunning. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Lake Lucerne.
The Stoos Bahn is definitely one of the most mesmerizing destinations in Zermatt. It’s the quickest way up, and it’s affordable too! You can get to the summit for only 2 francs. It leaves every 20 minutes or so and only has space for two people at a time, so be sure to book your ticket before going. If you want a great view without the hike, this is perfect.
Just make sure to wear warm clothes – temperatures drop as high as -14 degrees Celsius at night! There’s also an excellent restaurant on the hilltop that serves authentic Swiss food and drinks.

Gornergrat Railway

The Gornergrat Railway is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Zermatt. It takes you on a scenic ride up to the Gornergrat, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Matterhorn. The Gornergrat Railway is a great way to see the city from above and get a different perspective on this beautiful place.

One of the more popular destinations for tourists is Riffelalp, an alpine resort located just below the summit. Guests are able to stay overnight in cottages or sleep out under the stars as part of their holiday experience. Another memorable location that tourists visit while they’re visiting Zermatt is Schwarzsee, which translates to Black Lake.

No matter what time of year you visit Zermatt, this ride will make for a memorable experience! One downside to this attraction is that it costs money–$55 per person during high season.

Once you’re at the top, there are plenty of photo opportunities, as well as a few restaurants and cafes if you need to refuel. There’s also a fun little gift shop where you can buy an assortment of souvenirs from Switzerland. If you’re not too hungry or cold yet, keep your eyes peeled for sheep and goats grazing on the hillside.
I don’t know about you, but that’s just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! They say the kids love them because they’re so soft, and even though we were here during winter, we spotted some adorable animals out and about.
