It leaves every 20 minutes or so and only has space for two people at a time, so be sure to book your ticket before going. If you want a great view without the hike, this is perfect.
Just make sure to wear warm clothes – temperatures drop as high as -14 degrees Celsius at night! There’s also an excellent restaurant on the hilltop that serves authentic Swiss food and drinks.
Gornergrat Railway
The Gornergrat Railway is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Zermatt. It takes you on a scenic ride up to the Gornergrat, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Matterhorn. The Gornergrat Railway is a great way to see the city from above and get a different perspective on this beautiful place.

The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Zermatt. It takes you to the top of the Klein Matterhorn, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Swiss Alps. The cable car ride is short but sweet, and definitely worth it for the views alone.
Once you’re at the top, there are plenty of photo opportunities, as well as a few restaurants and cafes if you need to refuel. There’s also a fun little gift shop where you can buy an assortment of souvenirs from Switzerland. If you’re not too hungry or cold yet, keep your eyes peeled for sheep and goats grazing on the hillside.
