Components and The Main course

The Best Food and Drink in Arizona for 2019

The state of Arizona is blessed with an array of different cultures. This is most evident in the state’s cuisine, which has been influenced by Native American, Mexican, and Anglo traditions. One of the most popular dishes in Arizona is the main course. Beans and rice and and meat usually make up this dish. The specific ingredients vary depending on the region, but the main course is a staple in many homes across the state.
One of the best things about the main course is that it can be easily customized to fit any dietary need or preference.
Changing up your dinner routine with a mix of new sides, such as adding avocado slices and corn tortillas, is an excellent way to switch things up. No matter how you customize your main course, there are plenty of different dishes available for your family and all their unique tastes!

Enchiladas, like these chicken enchiladas, may include a main course ingredient. To prepare them, you’ll wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and bake them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until crispy. Fill warmed tortillas with either shredded chicken or beef before topping them off with enchilada sauce and melted cheese. If you want to create something even healthier than traditional enchiladas, consider making lasagna instead! You might have to use macaroni or penne instead of tortillas, but this version still delivers when it comes to flavour—it’s a family-friendly dish everyone will love.

The cuisine of Arizona is truly unique and delicious. The state is home to a variety of different cultures, each with their own specialties. One of the most popular dishes in Arizona is the maincourse. This dish is typically made with beef, chicken, or pork and served with beans and rice. It is often topped with salsa or cheese and can be enjoyed by everyone. Another dish that originated in Arizona is tamales. They are usually made from corn masa dough and wrapped in a corn husk or banana leaf before being steamed, boiled, or baked.

Some people like to top them with chili peppers and other spices for added flavor. Another popular food tradition of Arizonans is the chimichanga. These are deep-fried burritos that are topped with tomato sauce, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and pico de gallo (mixture of tomatoes, onions, garlic). The chimichanga can also come as a soft taco shell if preferred. It is then filled with shredded beef, chicken, pork or fish; covered with Monterey Jack cheese; rolled up and fried. Lastly, one cannot forget about the famous Sonoran hot dog!
It has its origins in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico, but Sonoran hot dogs are now well-known in Arizona. You grill the bun lengthwise and still on the grill. After cooking on both sides, it’s then topped with bacon and grilled onions that have been cooked on the grill too. It’s then topped with mayonnaise and mustard before adding your favorite toppings like sauerkraut, ketchup, or Sriracha sauce.

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the delicious food tradition of Arizona is the state’s wide array of beverages. From prickly pear cactus fruit juice to green chile beer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And, of course, no meal is complete without a refreshing glass of iced tea. That’s why it doesn’t matter where you go in Arizona, chances are good you’ll find a restaurant serving sweet tea with every meal. One of my favorite places for this Southern staple is the Gila County Diner in Globe, AZ.
For those who aren’t familiar with the diner, it’s actually an old-fashioned soda fountain and lunch counter with four stools and six booths. Here you’ll find fresh burgers, fries, and milkshakes made with homemade ice cream! This bacon cheeseburger is served on grilled Texas toast, topped with sautéed onions and peppers.
It’s juicy, flavorful and always cooked just right! I have never been disappointed by the quality or taste of any dish I’ve ordered at the Gila County Diner. In fact, I am proud to say that this is one eatery I know won’t disappoint anyone looking for great grub in Globe.
