Koh Samui: An idyllic island paradise perfect for exploring

The Thai island of Koh Samui has been called one of the most beautiful islands in the world, and it’s not hard to see why. Rent a motorbike and explore

Renting a motorbike is the best way to explore Koh Samui. You can zip around the island with ease, stopping at beaches, viewpoints, and restaurants along the way. Plus, it’s a great way to get some fresh air and exercise. Just be sure to wear a helmet and drive safely! Koh Samui also has some amazing scuba diving spots if you’re looking for an adventure on the water. In addition to being a haven for both novice and experienced divers, there are many dive sites that offer opportunities for shark sightings and beautiful coral reefs. Experienced divers will want to head out in search of more challenging dives including drift dives and wreck dives while newbies might want to take a leisurely dip near the surface or even go snorkeling. For those who don’t have much experience with scuba diving, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn how.
A few other activities worth checking out are kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding which can be found all over the island. All these activities make for one unforgettable experience that shouldn’t be missed by any traveler!

Discover Poloy (beach)

Poloy beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Samui. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. From snorkelling and swimming to kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, there’s something for everyone at Poloy beach. You can even do some fishing!
A trip to this paradise would not be complete without visiting Wat Khunaram, which has one of the nicest temples in Thailand.
There are also many delicious restaurants nearby if you’re looking for a place to eat after a long day exploring this gorgeous island. If you’re looking for more things to do while on Koh Samui, check out Tao Yuan Restaurant & SPA. It’s just steps away from the sea with a stunning view of Kata Beach that will take your breath away. With so much history, Tao Yuan is considered by many to be one of the best Thai restaurants in all of Asia.

They serve authentic Thai dishes using only high quality ingredients as well as international cuisine for those who want a change. All their food is absolutely delicious and it’s served alongside tasty cocktails and refreshing drinks – everything here tastes amazing!

Visit Lamai Beach

Lamai Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Samui. It’s well-known for its soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and palm trees.
If you’re looking for something more active, then head to Ban Khai beach which offers water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat rides, and snorkeling. Just be careful when surfing because the waves are big! You’ll find that this post covers many other beautiful spots on Koh Samui that are worth visiting too. One of my favorite places to visit was Fisherman Village which has been inhabited by fisherfolk since time immemorial.

The village has all sorts of seafood restaurants with an excellent view over the fishing port and out into the sea. Check out Ayutthaya Thai Restaurant if you want some delicious Thai food. Some tourists may prefer just relaxing on Bang Niang Beach in Trat Province while others may want to explore Phuket Town – it’s all up to your personal preference!

Relax at your resort

After a long day of exploring, there’s nothing better than heading back to your resort to relax. Luckily, Koh Samui has no shortage of amazing resorts to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a luxurious 5-star resort or a more budget-friendly option, you’re sure to find the perfect place to rest your head.

While some offer incredible views and indulgent spa treatments, others are more laid-back and focus on offering activities such as cycling and snorkeling. So whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or just want to enjoy an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Koh Samui is the perfect destination. Visit Bophut beach

Bophut beach is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Samui. It’s well-known for its long stretch of white sand, clear water, and beautiful sunsets. There’s also a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from, making it the perfect place to spend a day or night. Head over to Ban Tai if you’re looking for a quiet spot by the sea. Spend an afternoon walking along Ao Nid Pier and enjoy some delicious fresh seafood in one of the many restaurants lining the pier. Or visit Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach which is often overlooked but has a stunning view of the Andaman Sea. For those who are adventurous, head to Hat Nopparatthara (also known as ‘Jungle Beach’) where there are no crowds and plenty of monkeys to keep you company! To get here, follow the path all the way through the forest for about half an hour until you reach this hidden gem.
Shark Bay is another must-see destination on your Koh Samui itinerary. The bay was named after sharks that were caught nearby, back when fishing was still allowed in Thailand. Today, it’s home to great snorkeling opportunities and kayaking trips – definitely worth checking out!

Head to Chaweng Beach

Chaweng Beach is the busiest and most popular beach on Koh Samui. It’s also the most developed, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to keep you entertained. The beach itself is beautiful, with white sand and clear blue water.
If you’re looking to relax on your vacation, this is the place to be. For a different vibe, head to Lamai Beach: Lamai Beach offers a much more relaxed environment. You’ll find lots of families here, which is great if you have children or want to spend time with family and friends. In addition, there are no hotels lining the beach so it has a completely different feel than Chaweng Beach does.

Head north from Lamai Beach and stop by Fisherman Village: Fisherman Village offers an interesting view into life in Thailand. You can watch fishermen work their nets or catch fresh seafood to cook at one of the many street vendors. There are also some amazing Thai food stands that serve up delicious dishes like pad thai and mango sticky rice. Keep heading up North along the coast until you reach Hin Ta Pier
