Palazzo Medici Riccardi

When in Florence, a must-see is the Palazzo Medici Riccardi. The palazzo was home to the Medici family, one of the most powerful families in Florence during the Renaissance. The Medici were known for their patronage of the arts, and the Palazzo Medici Riccardi reflects this with its ornate design. From the outside, the palazzo is imposing and impressive, with its three stories of red brick and white stone. Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace

Founded in 15th century, Boboli Gardens are one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces, overlooking its picturesque rooftops and a stunning view of the Arno River below. Every inch of this garden – from the formal gardens to the vast Italian-style parterres (notably the Pratolino Terrace) – oozes magnificence and panache.
