If you’re feeling adventurous, sign up for a cliff jump from Hat Yao Beach! If that’s not your style, stroll around Krabi Town and stop for coffee at one of the many cafes. There’s always something fun to do on Ko Phi Phi.
The island offers a variety of water sports like sailing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. When you need a break from all that activity, head over to Maya Bay Beach for an authentic Thai massage.
Other Water Sports in Ko Phi Phi
In addition to snorkeling and swimming, there are plenty of other water sports available in Ko Phi Phi. You can go kayaking, paddle boarding, or take a ride on a glass bottom boat to get a better view of the colorful fish below. There are also boats that will take you out for a day of fishing. If this is your thing, then I recommend going with the Koh Lanta Fishing Club (you may be able to find them by looking for their bright green boat).
They offer overnight trips as well if you would like to spend more time exploring the waters. But beware – these boats don’t have much space! The boat was so small that we had to sit with our legs tucked up under us, which made it difficult to see what was outside the window. But luckily we were only out for an hour and it was worth it because we caught lots of really big fish!
And when we got back to shore we took some time to explore the shoreline and saw some amazing views of various limestone karsts. It’s clear why they call it paradise here in Ko Phi Phi!
Where to Stay in Ko Phi Phi
There are many accommodation options in Ko Phi Phi, from hostels and guesthouses to resorts and villas. The best way to find a place to stay is to ask around and see what others recommend. There are also a few websites that can help you book accommodation in advance.
When to Visit Ko Phi Phi (three sentences): The best time to visit Ko Phi Phi is between November and May, when the weather is warm and dry. It’s always hot, but be prepared for some rain as well.
Ko Phi Phi is one of Thailand’s most popular destinations, so it’s likely that there will be crowds during your trip. But don’t worry – there are plenty of things to do here even if it feels like everyone else has had the same idea as you!
Where to Eat in Ko Phi Phi
If you’re looking for fresh seafood, head to one of the many restaurants lining the docks. For a more casual meal, try one of the street vendors selling Thai dishes. If you want something sweet, there are several cafes serving up pastries and coffee.
And of course, no visit to Ko Phi Phi would be complete without trying a coconut from one of the stands on the beach. The best way to drink it is with a straw! As long as you’re eating or drinking on the beach, make sure that your feet are completely submerged in water- sandals don’t do so well against some of those pesky critters crawling around on land.
Finally, if you have any time left after exploring Ko Phi Phi’s streets and beaches- hop onto a boat to go snorkeling in the reefs just off shore! You’ll find yourself swimming through an amazing variety of sea life- including stingrays, octopuses, urchins, lobster and many other species.
Things To Do In and Around Phuket
Thailand’s second largest island, Phuket is a renowned tourist destination for its stunning beaches, luxury resorts, and exciting nightlife. But there’s so much more to this vibrant country than meets the eye. If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Phuket Town, head to the charming village of Ko Phi Phi.
This small town is located on a small island off the coast of Phuket and is accessible by longtail boat from Tonsai Pier. The biggest attraction in Ko Phi Phi are the awe-inspiring limestone cliffs that rise majestically from the water. Hiking up these cliffs will lead you to breathtaking views of crystal clear water and jungle vegetation. Be sure to stop at Ton Sai Bay, a popular beach with white sand, blue waters, and plenty of sun loungers.
If you have time after your hike or just want an adventure for the day, hop on one of the many tour boats around Tonsai Bay which take visitors on tours around Phi Phi Islands and sometimes even offer snorkeling excursions.

- Tonsai Rock – a short walk from Tonsai Village will take you to an impressive cliff with stunning views over Krabi Town.
- Phromthep Cape – if you’re looking for solitude then you should visit Phromthep Cape where there’s no mobile phone reception and few tourists around.
- Tanote Bay – for those who enjoy snorkeling or diving, Tanote Bay offers excellent opportunities to explore some of Thailand’s most pristine corals.
- Loh Samah Temple – head here at sunrise or sunset for one of the most picturesque views in Thailand.
- Klong Muang Beach – one of the least crowded beaches on Ko Phi Phi, it is also well known among snorkelers due to its shallow water and abundant marine life.
