If you’re lucky enough to be in Amman during the hot summer months, it’s important that you wear appropriate clothing. Keep yourself cool by wearing clothes made from light fabrics like cotton or linen. Drink lots of water and make sure to stay hydrated. Umm Qais
Situated in the northwest of Jordan, Umm Qais is a delightful destination that offers visitors stunning views of the Golan Heights, Lake Tiberias, and Mount Hermon. Azraq Wetland Reserve
Located in the heart of the Azraq Basin, this wetland reserve is a haven for migrating birds. More than 200 species of birds have been recorded here, making it a must-visit for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The reserve is also home to other wildlife, including gazelles, ibex, and oryx. It is best visited between November and March, when temperatures are relatively mild.
Mada’in Saleh: Located on the western bank of the Wadi al-Hasa river system, Mada’in Saleh was an important settlement from c. 740 BC to AD 640. The site consists of about 25 square kilometres of rocks and sandstone formations carved by hand into remarkable shapes. Along with the petroglyphs there are also statues made from stones that were moved from across Mesopotamia, which indicate how wealthy its residents were. After being abandoned as a result of climate change around AD 650, it lay untouched until European explorers rediscovered it in the 19th century.
