Kalekoy Bay

Damlatas Island
Also known as the Camel Island, this small isle is located just offshore from the city of Bodrum. The second day I arrived at Bodrum was no different – blue skies, light winds and great waves were all I needed! After breakfast at my hotel I headed down to the water’s edge where I found a local guy teaching his son how to surf on one of their boards.
I got chatting with them both and they told me that the beaches in Bodrum have some of the best waves in Turkey!
Butterfly Valley
Just a short boat ride away from the main city of Bodrum, Butterfly Valley is well worth the visit. The valley gets its name from the plethora of butterflies that make it their home. And while you’re admiring the fluttering creatures, be sure to take in the stunning views of the canyon walls and turquoise waters. It’s no wonder this location has become so popular with visitors seeking beautiful locations!
A must-see is Bafa Lake National Park just a few kilometers north of Butterfly Valley. It’s an expansive national park filled with bays, islands, forests and hillsides bursting with flowers year-round. As if all that weren’t enough – there are also hot springs located inside the park which bubble up out of volcanic craters.
Calis Beach
With its gentle waves and sandy shores, Calis Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Bodrum. Its beautiful sunsets make it a popular spot for photographers, while its clear waters make it ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Visitors can also find a number of restaurants and cafes along the beach. You’ll find plenty of parasols and loungers if you want to relax and take in the views from your own little piece of paradise. The prices are reasonable, so it’s easy to spend an entire day at this stunning location. It’s not possible to swim or go into the water during high tide.
And there aren’t any amenities nearby, so visitors should be prepared with food and drinks before arriving. If you’re looking for a more rugged experience, head down to Bademli Beach. There’s nothing quite like taking in the salty sea air as you walk down to the shoreline.
Piri Cove (Side)
Considered one of the most beautiful places in Bodrum, Piri Cove is a small beach flanked by dramatic cliffs. It’s located on the side of the peninsula and can be reached by boat or by hiking down from Side. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of fish to see, making it a perfect spot for snorkeling.
The cove is less crowded than some other beaches in Bodrum, but there will likely still be tourists around. If you’re looking for a place that offers solitude with stunning views of the Aegean Sea, then this might not be your best option. But if you want to relax and enjoy company while admiring the view, go ahead! You’ll never forget this experience.
