The Bayan Palace is one of the most beautiful places in Agdam. It’s a work of art, with its intricate architecture and stunning destinations. The palace is home to many important events, and it’s also a popular tourist spot.
The architecture and design make it one of the most ravishing destinations in Agdam. From the outside, you can see all of the intricacies and beauty on display. With breathtaking gardens and various types of art lining the hallways, this place is definitely worth checking out. The elegance and variety of these aspects create an unforgettable experience for those who visit.
One thing to keep in mind though, if you want to visit the interior or even photograph it at all, then you need permission from the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization (ICHO). They have strict rules about photography, so don’t just assume that they’ll let you snap pictures.
If they allow you to go inside, they will be extremely selective about which rooms are allowed to be photographed and what angles are acceptable. Keep this in mind when planning your visit!

It’s a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The mosque was built in the 16th century and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Agdam. The mosque is named for its blue tiles, which were imported from China. The Blue Mosque is a place of worship and also a place of learning, with a library and school on site. You can’t miss the gorgeous architecture; it’s a true marvel to behold. You’ll want to go inside to see the incredible ceiling, but remember not to enter during prayer times if you’re not Muslim.

Pakhlavan’s Fountain: Located near Lake Sarysu, Pakhlavan’s Fountain is another iconic landmark in Agdam. Completed in 1872, this fountain has been restored several times since then and even survived destruction during the Nagorno-Karabakh War. It symbolizes the love between Khurshidbanu Natavan, daughter of an Azerbaijani ruler, and Malik Jahan Bey, son of a Persian ruler.
The architects designed the fountain to symbolize Islamic elements as well as other cultural influences like Hinduism and Buddhism. Today, it remains an important cultural site where people come to relax.

Circumference Towers

Agdam, a Ghost Town in Nagorno Karabakh - Caucasian Challenge

The Circumference Towers are two of the most beautiful and unique buildings in all of Agdam. They were built to be the tallest buildings in the world, and they certainly live up to that reputation. Each tower is 1,000 feet tall and made entirely of glass. The views from the top of these towers are absolutely breathtaking. If you’re ever in Agdam, be sure to check out the Circumference Towers!

You won’t regret it. There’s also a hotel inside one of the towers which offers some incredible rooms at an even more incredible price. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll get to stay there myself!
Another notable place near both towers is Top Kebab restaurant.
As I mentioned earlier, food in Azbakaia is amazing so you really can’t go wrong with anything you order here, but if you want something on the cheaper side their lamb kebabs are wonderful and come in packs of ten or twenty depending on how hungry you are.
Some people say they taste just like heaven (it might have something to do with getting as much as 20% off if you order at least 100). That aside though, I’d like to talk about what happens after dinner!

Rish Castle

The Rish Castle is one of the most beautiful places in Agdam. It is a large, imposing structure with many turrets and towers. It was once the home of a powerful lord, but now it is a ruin. Despite its ruined state, the castle is still an impressive sight.

Many people who have visited this place say that it gives them goosebumps just by looking at it. Some speculate that there are hidden treasures inside the palace, since nobody has been able to get past all the traps set up by its former inhabitants. Others believe that the ruins might house ancient artifacts or forgotten books from civilizations long gone. But despite the many myths surrounding this magnificent building, one thing is for sure: you should never enter the building on your own because there are stories about ghosts wandering inside its walls.
There are also other reasons why people stay away from the castle. For example, it is difficult to reach the ruins since they are high up on a mountain peak and not easy to climb; furthermore, some would argue that one needs permission from somebody in power before going anywhere near this crumbling structure.

The statue of Korkud

The first stop on our tour is the statue of Korkud. Standing at an impressive 12 feet tall, this bronze statue was erected in honor of the local hero who fought bravely against the enemy forces. Korkud is a symbol of strength and courage, and his statue is a must-see for anyone visiting Agdam. It is made out of marble and limestone, making it a striking sight to behold.

In front of the statue there is a memorial plaque with some words written in Arabic: We commemorate with gratitude the martyrs and heroes who laid down their lives in defence of their homeland. There are also bullet holes from tank fire all over the monument’s facade which only adds to its authenticity. Inside the city, you can visit Armenian churches such as Surb Nshan (Holy Cross) Cathedral dating back to 1885 or Mesrop Mashtots Church from 1901.
Alongside those historic buildings, there are many more smaller houses that have been beautifully preserved up until today. Visiting one of these homes can be just as awe-inspiring as seeing any other beautiful site in Agdam because it really gives you a glimpse into what life used to be like here.
